Special Moments in Special Hands

Cheryl Rob and Keira 3rd August 2008

Baptism ceremonies are very varied. They range form personal ones, where the baby in question is the ONLY baby getting baptised to baptisms where the baby in question is only one of about 20 babies!

It can be fun if quite hectic!

As far as shots, we normally recommend:

  • Baby in dress, being held by mom
  • Baby in dress (BID) held by dad
  • BID held by Godparents (singly or together)
  • BID with siblings
  • BID with priest
  • the moment when water touches BID's head
  • Group shot of family with BID
  • Group shot of family, BID and priest
  • Random shots of the church interior and baptismal font area
  • Pics of any flowers that have been provided by the family
  • Close-up of details on dress (if dress is special, pretty or antique)
  • Close-up of baby's feet and hands
  • Picture of any crosses or other religious jewelry that grandparents' give to the baby
  • Picture of the jewelry ON the baby (if the family puts it on him/her)
  • Pictures of the baby by a bible

These are only a guide and can be supplemented by any other pictures you require or desire. Why don't you give us a call on 0800 56 77 114 or contact us here at Chapman Photographics to discuss your specific requirements.
