Initial Consultation:

At Chapman Photographic we believe that every wedding ceremony, like the happy couple, is unique and as such deserves unique approach. Time, the number of images and distance are not factors, it takes as long as it takes.

Every booking starts with an initial consultation. This consultation may last 10 minutes or 2 hours but it is free and is designed to ensure that everyone knows exactly what is required and what is to be delivered. It also allows you to make sure that we are the right 'fit' as couple and photographer.

Pre Wedding Shoot:

We feel this is a vital ingredient to a sucessful wedding. Why - well there are several reasons

1. Timing is crucial on the day so a list, a route and a plan are essential and is one less thing to worry about!
2. It allows us to choose and choreograph potential photo locations based on numbers and preference.
3. We can plan for inclement weather with secondary locations.
4. We can experiment with different poses and scenarios that allow the you to get a feel for the location and how certain shots actually look in reality as opposed to simply visualising from memory. An example of a pre-wedding shoot is here. The day before the wedding I went to have a last look at the chosen location to refresh my memory. It was a lovely park in Oldham that the couple had a special link with but on my arrival I was greeted by the sight of a tented village that was expecting 10,000 visitors on the day of the wedding! I can laugh now, but at the time.... Luckily we found a second location and I simply adapted the list to suit.

Bridal Preparations:

Not a traditional part of the wedding shoot but one that gives an opportunity for some beautiful shots of the bride and her entourage making it all come together.

Groom & Best Man:

A few candid shots of the groom and his best mate in the lead up to the biggest moment of his life, usually helps to calm the nerves and takes his mind off other matters for a little while.

Wedding location:

The arrival of the Bride and Groom, greetings, speeches, cutting the cake and the meal are all covered. This is where the pre-wedding shoot comes into its own, because everyone knows where they need to be and when. The serious part of the day is past and everyone just wants to celebrate with the happy couple and the less time taken up with photos means meore time to do just that.

Evening Party:

Depending on the timings, people might flow from one part of the wedding into the next but for those just attending this part of the wedding day it is an opportunity to get a professional photograph with the couple, their friends and their family. There is also great scope for some unusual shots as people get into the swing and start to let their hair down!
